Fall In love with Early Mornings

I go to bed excited for the next day, because I know that my day will start with a moment for myself: journalling, body movement, meditation. I fill my morning with things I really look forward to – so upon waking I really am looking forward to getting out of bed.

Waking up before 6AM changed my life – it gave me the quiet and peace I was looking for while living a busy life in a busy city. I traded late nights of scrolling and Netflixing to the peace and tranquility of early mornings. THIS is the time I have for myself.

People talk about routine and structures and nowadays we live in “blended” culture, where the lines of work & life become increasingly blurred – where it’s hard to keep up that structure. So what keeps it for me, is morning routine, or “ritual” as I call it.

In this episode I just decided to share my love for the early mornings. And while waking up at 5AM may not be for you, it’s worth looking at early mornings as a feeling that’s just simply not available at any other times of the day.

Afternoons are packed with so much bright light and busyness for me that I often say that I don’t like being alive between 2-4PM. To me afternoons feel like they’re trying to finish all the work you haven’t done in all the years before. Nevermind the “afternoon dip” of energy… Evenings, on the other hand tend to acquire the “burdens” of the day that has gone by as well as being packed with social appointments for many – which may be challenging too.

I much more welcome the tranquility and peace of early mornings. And in this episode I’m sharing my falling in love with them…
