Time has slowed down this year. And not because it was boring – it was the opposite. A friend (whom I interviewed!) explained to me that this feels because I’m doing many new, unusual things every day. Which means that my brain doesn’t have a default “autopilot” since there’s hardly the same day, let alone the same week… and this year took this up a level.
Sometimes I look back a month in disbelief that it has fit an entire lifetime.
In this episode, I’m closing the chapter of 2024 with gratitude, curiosity, and a readiness to embrace what lies ahead. As the year winds down, I’ve been exploring the balance between connecting, creating and simply being. I come to realise and experience that life, after all, isn’t just about constant output. It’s about finding moments to be presence to the wonder of being truly alive.
This episode is a reflection of this transformative year. From unexpected life events, like selling my company and surviving a near-death experience in the Amazon, to the joy of launching this podcast and finding my footing in teaching and community-building, I savoured every triumph and ensured to look out for lessons in the difficult circumstances – so I don’t repeat the same mistakes again because repetition is boring anyway.
These moments have taught me to show up fully and, most importantly, to embrace the unfolding path with curiosity and grace.
This is also an invitation for you to reflect on your own journey – maybe just 2024 or maybe this entire endeavour of being a human. What it’s like to be present in both joy and pain, to feel yourself and others deeply and earnestly, and bravely ask questions even when the answers feel distant.
In preparation to step into 2025, this episode is a pause. A space to acknowledge the growth, the gratitude – and the aspirations. Looking into the life with eyes and heart – wide open.
